Boxer: A tragic symbol of the complete corruption on Animal Farm Boxer is an important character in the novel. Through who he is, his misplaced devotion, his limited intelligence, his unquestioning loyalty, and his ultimate treatment by the pigs, we an see the tragic downfall of Animal Farm.
