WELCOME! Forecasting Incoming Seniors

Forecasting: Step by Step Fill out Forecasting Sheet. Research classes. Get signatures from your parents and teachers. Use Course Planning Guide for help. Meet with your counselor as needed. Enter class choices in the computer lab. Turn in form to a counselor.

StudentVue You MUST know your StudentVue USERNAME and PASSWORD in order to forecast! If you don’t have one or both of these you must go to the main office and request this before your forecasting day.

Additional Requirements for Graduation: ACADEMIC PORTFOLIO: State Tests: Passing State test scores or work samples in: Reading, Math, and Writing. Four Year Plan Created in the freshman year, updated each year by the student. Extended Application Completed in senior year within your health class 2 Career Related Learning Experiences (CRLE) Opportunities for CRLE’s are offered in Health and advanced elective classes. SEE TESTING COORDINATOR IN ROOM 240 FOR QUESTIONS IN REGARDS TO YOUR ACADEMIC PORTFOLIO!

How many classes do I take? Seniors MUST take at least 4 classes. You can TA once per semester. Work Experience counts as a class.

Honor Roll & Athletics: Honor Roll requires 6 graded classes. Any class taken for Pass/No Pass credit will not count. Participating in Athletics/Activities requires passing 5 graded classes. For NCAA eligibility: Need 16 Core Credits Register with NCAA Junior Year See Athletic Director for Questions.

General University Requirements A minimum grade of “C” in core courses 4 years of English 3 years of Mathematics - (including Algebra 2) 3 years of Science 3 years of Social Studies 2 years of the same World Language 16 academic credits in core subject areas .5 credit in a Visual/Performing Fine Arts class is recommended

College Acceptance GPA GPA REQUIREMENTS: 3.00 for U of O (review) 3.00 for OSU, PSU, OIT, SOU 2.75 for EOU, WOU Additional review may be required by the college. Universities also require ACT/SAT test scores including writing. .

Scholars Diploma Earn accumulative GPA of at least 3.5 Earn a minimum of 24 credits, 8 of which must be in designated advanced courses Have been an active participant in at least one co-curricular activity May earn only one elective credit using the PASS/NO PASS option. GRADUATION IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY, SO DON’T WAIT! Credit Recovery There are several ways you can make up a class that you’ve failed. Classes must be approved by your COUNSELOR prior to registration. If you have questions, make an appointment to see your Counselor ASAP! GRADUATION IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY, SO DON’T WAIT!

Forecast Sheet After you have completed the personal data section, Fill in personal info at top of sheet. Mark classes with an “X.” Mark Alternates in order: A1, A2, A3. Plan for 5 credits! Classes in Bold need teacher signatures. Discuss with Parent/guardian and sign!

Choosing CORE Classes For ENGLISH, MATH, SCIENCE & SOCIAL STUDIES: CONSULT WITH YOUR TEACHERS TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT CLASSES! TEACHERS WILL LOOK OVER FORMS AND SIGN. USE THE COURSE PLANNING GUIDE FOR HELP!

Electives Choose electives carefully! Changes are hard to make! Grades in electives DO MATTER! Remember Teacher Aides: One period per semester Requires teacher’s signature Cannot aide during teacher’s prep time

DO YOU HAVE A JOB? WORK EXPERIENCE YOU CAN EARN 1.0 Elective Credit! You must work at least 100 hours per semester. You must turn in monthly time sheets. SEE YOUR COUNSELOR for more information!
