Grading of Exams Grading moving to a ‘9 to 1’ scale for most subjects Still be A*-G for DT, Media and ICT The C/D boundary will be the 4/3 boundary A ‘good’ pass will move up to a 5 (a high C or a B) A level 9 will be a high A* with a fixed proportion awarded
Assessment Examinations (written or practical) Non-examined Assessment The majority of subjects, including English, Mathematics and Science will be ‘exams only’ On-going practical work, that cannot be tested by an examination will take place under supervision Curriculum leaders will provide notice of Key Dates so you can support your child.

Course Allocation NOT a first come – first served system Group sizes have to be viable for a course to run, and may have a maximum number Students allocated to groups in order to ensure the maximum number of students get their first 4 choices (usually over 95%) Individual conversations where the 5th choice is used Families are notified in writing for a final confirmation in Summer Term
