What is Merced Regional Vision? Guides transportation investments, priorities, and plans Focus on regional issues and multiple modes Link with land use, housing & employment Covers 25 years (2018-2042)

Why plan at all? Why plan?

The Good News! Measure V Passed! SB1 Passed! (County voters) (State Legislature & Governor)

What must the Plan do? Have a shared vision of all of the Cities and the County. Be financially sound – what can we realistically pay for? Emphasize existing system & preserving it. Provide prioritized list of projects. Follow state and federal laws and rules.
