Organics Part 1 By Natalia Zielinska
Overview of Brief The theme of Unit 3, 4 and 5 is Organics Part 1. Unit 3 is drawing. Unit 4 is communication skills. Unit 5 is creating a 2D outcome. Part 1 of the Organics project is 7 weeks long and we are doing it up till Christmas. Throughout this project, we had a introduction to drawing skills, we did some photography, we did mono and lino printing and looked into extending and manipulating them.

Two Artists That Have Most Inspired Me Mark Hearld – Colourful, busy and detailed artwork. Would not mind having his work as my own wallpaper. Reminds me of childhood because the animals look like story characters. Andy Warhol – Row of canned soups inspired my final outcome. Range of colours that match
Reflection In this project, I have learnt a new technique called lino printing. I have never done lino printing before, however, I really enjoy it and even though it can be quite difficult at times, I find it very contagious and I like how you can re-use the lino many times because it is permanent, it does not run out. My least favourite part of this project I think was the mono printing. This is because I did not enjoy it as much in this project as I did in the previous one and I think that my mono prints did not come out too well in this project.
Target Setting One of my main targets for the next project is to do a lot more work at home so that I am up to date and I do not have a lot of work to catch up on in the last week of term and I do not have to rush with it. I set myself this same target in the last project and I believe that I have been up to date a lot more, however, I am setting myself this target again so that I start doing more work at home.
