JUDAISM Judaism has about 1.3 million followers around the world. Mostly in Israel or USA.

Beliefs Jews believe there is only one god. Jews think people should be judged by their faith and not by their actions.

Worship Jews pray in places called Synagogues A Jewish religious leader is called a Rabbi The most holy Jewish book is called the Torah

Rosh Hashanah Rosh Hashanah is a Jewish festival {a lot like New Year}. It celebrates the creation of the world. A lot of time is spent in the Synagogue during Rosh Hashanah. After the service Jewish families have a special meal at home.

Yom Kippur Yom Kippur is one of the most important days of Judaism. During the ten days between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur Jews make peace with people they may not get along with. No food or drink is had for 25 hours {but if you’re a kid, sick or pregnant you don’t have to}
