It’s affiliated with RosTech and specialized on military industrial sector. In 2015 year bank had a lot of outdate hardware and huge plans to expand their business. Core bank system – business critical service - was most affected performance problem. Also bank DC located in historical center of the city and have limited power capacity for DC. Because of importance of service continuity Novikombank needed high available solution with disaster recovery. Because of expansion, bank was very active in testing and development. After analyzing of customer requirement we decided to propose two-sets solution based on Huawei Server, OceanStor V3 Storage system. Because of high importance of solution, to ensure 100% success we did PoC tests together with ISV and customer. Core banking software was provided by local ISV – Diasoft – number one on Russian market. To meet new performance requirements and minimize power consumption we proposed to used virtualized solution together with blade E9000 servers and consolidated storage with SSDs OceanStor 6800 V3. This allow us to achieve highest performance in compact rack space. Servers were in cluster to increase availability of solution, and DR was realized on software level (MS SQL + Diasoft). OceanStor provides snapshot, clones functionality to speed up development process and reduce storage space needs As result Novikombank get high reliable, redundant and high performance solution in few Rackspace with low power consumption.
