(2)He attended a peasant boy and a girl,both of whom died (2)Her father was put in prison for no good reason,and then she was brought to England as a baby. (3)He knew that they had been badly treated by cruel Marquis St Evremonde ,so he was put in prison-- the Bastille to keep his silence. (3)In 1775,she heard that her father was still alive and had been set free in Paris,so she went to Paris to bring her father back to London. (4)He spent many years in prison, where he used to make shoes,and became mentally disturbed. (4)After she returned to England two men Charles Darnay and Sydney Carton fell in love with her.At last Lucie married Charles Darnay. (5)He returned to England with his daughter,and got gradually better and stronger.

Marquis St Evremonde Sydney Carton Charles Darnay (5)He was thrown into prison because he was recognized as a noble,and he was sentenced to death; (1)He was French; (2)His brother wounded the peasant boy in a fight.They had Dr Manette put in prison so that he should not talk in public about this matter; (6)But at last he was saved by his friend Sydney Carton; (3)He has a nephew called Charles Darnay; Sydney Carton Charles Darnay (1)He looked very like Charles Darnay,and he fell in love with Lucie Manette too; (1)He was French too,although,his name looked English; (2)He left France and came to live in England; (2)He managed to save Charles from the prison, but he lost his life; (3)He married Lucie manette; (4)In July, 1789 the French Revolution broke out,and he returned to France;
