The candidates will complete an IWCF accredited training course, taught according to IWCF syllabus, in order to prepare them for assessment. Course Schedule January 24-28, 2016 February 15-19, 2016 March 14-18, 2016 April 18-22, 2016 May 23-27, 2016 June 20-24, 2016 July 25-29, 2016 August 22-26, 2016 September 19-23,2016 October 17-21, 2016 November 14-18, 2016 December 19-23, 2016 Who should attend : Level 3 - Recommended for any role that is expected to shut-in a well. A Level 2 course should be successfully completed prior to taking a Level 3 course. Roles Include but not limited to Driller, Assistant Driller, Equivalent positions in well servicing and Equivalent positions in intervention operations. Level 4 - Recommended in addition to content covered in Level 3 training, wellsite supervisory and office-based personnel that are primarily involved with the well design and operational decision making process. Also those involved with potential well kill methodology should be trained to this high level. Risk management Causes of kicks Kick warning signs and indicators Circulating systems Fracture pressure and maximum surface pressure Influx characteristics and behavior Shut in procedures Well control methods Well Control during Casing and Cementing Operations Well Control Management Contingency Planning Equipment Blow Out Preventers Associated well control equipment Choke manifold and chokes Auxiliary equipment Barriers Testing BOP control systems This syllabus is divided into two sections; Section.1 Practical Assessment (Simulator) Section.2 Written Test The written test syllabus is divided into 2 sections; > Principles and Procedures > Equipment Test Written Paper Test (by IWCF Invigilator) Note: Participants have to score minimum of 70% in each of the tests to qualify for the IWCF certificate. Validity of the IWCF certificate is two years. If a participant fails in any of the paper, he can re sit in the failed paper within two calendar months . Two attempts are allowed for re sit during this period.
