A Guide to Naviance for Parents

Naviance Naviance is a college and career readiness tool FBISD uses to help students get ready for post secondary training and education. In Naviance, students can: Explore careers Explore colleges and majors Create resumes Keep track of college applications Keep track of high school credits/courses The benefits of Naviance are: Keeps all of their college and career interests in one easy to use place Help students with organization by assigning specific tasks each year Accessible program from any computer

Naviance 1st Time Parent Log In Steps Go to www.naviance.com Click on ‘sign in’ at the top right hand corner and select ‘students and families’ Type in 77479 for the zip code and select Sartartia Click on ‘I need to register’

Type in the registration code that was emailed to you from the counselors.

Be sure to use your own email address. Your child will have their own. Also, choose a password you will remember!

Once you log on, you can explore the different tabs.

Courses: This is where students will input their 4 year plans in 8th grade for high school and keep track of their high school courses/credits.

Colleges: In high school, students and parents can look at college requirements, how their 4 year plan aligns with college majors, look for scholarships and more!
