Georgia Habitats Study Guide

Habitat The place where a plant or animal lives. A habitat provides ALL things the animals and plants there need to survive.

Wetland A place where the soil is often wet and spongy.

Mountain A high raised part of Earth.

Piedmont The region of Georgia that contains rolling hills and is located between the coastal plain and the mountains.

Q: Which region of Georgia has the most mountains? A: North Georgia

Q: Which region of Georgia is the most densely populated? A: The Piedmont, where Atlanta is located, is the most densely (heavily) populated.
