Help.. in our time of Need

Our time of need.. Heb. 4:14-16

1. Is it true that you spend more time offering prayers for help from God than in any other type of prayer? 2. I know that is the case with me, as much as I do not like to admit it. 3. I am so thankful that we have a Heavenly Father who is full of mercy and grace and we can count on the fact that He will always answer our prayers for help. ..

4. We can cry out to Him in our time of need and He will rescue us. 5. Though sometimes it seems like He will never answer or does not hear, God is still on the throne and available and willing to listen to our prayers for help. 5. Ask for help and then be still and know that He is God and will act in His time..

Hebrews 4:14-16 14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. 15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

From these 3 verses we learn:

#1 We have a High Priest.. Jesus is Our High Priest

Heb 4: 14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God 1. He has passed into the Heavens 2. His name is “Jesus” the Son of God 3. 15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities. He can be touched with the Feeling of our infirmities.

4. 15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities He can be touched. He can be touched with the feeling of our infirmities He never once sinned!!! A perfect example. I Pet. 2:21

#2 Let us .. hold fast our profession. and Let us… therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace,

Something that we Must do.. 1. Let us ..Hold fast our Profession (Confession) Never waver. Buckle down…He is with us. Heb. 13:5-6; Prov. 3:5,6

2. Let us .. Come boldly (confidently) unto the throne Of Grace Pray a lot Pray with confidence Pray before the Throne of Grace

#3. that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Two Things: ..that we may obtain mercy ..that we might find grace to help in time of need.

Mercy: Luke 18:13

Grace : Ephesians 2:8-10 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Titus 2:11-14 11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; 13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; 14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

Solomon’s Prayer for Help – Wisdom for a new King I Kings 3:5-9 .. Give your servant therefore an Understanding heart (mind) to govern Your people , that I may discern between good and evil, for who is able to govern this your great people.

From me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done. Jesus prayer for help. - Take this cup.. Luke 22:42 “Father, if you are willing, remove this cup From me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.

I need thee every hour

Unto the Throne of Grace That we may obtain Mercy Prayer: 24/7 Line opened…never busy signal. Let us come boldly Unto the Throne of Grace That we may obtain Mercy and find Grace to help In (our) time of need!!

A Prayer for Help – To Be An Instrument of God’s Peace Lord make me an instrument of your peace, Where there is hatred let me sow love. Where there is injury, pardon. Where there is doubt, faith. Where there is despair, hope. Where there is darkness, light. And where there is sadness, joy.

O divine master grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; To be loved as to love For it is in giving that we receive- it is in pardoning that we are pardoned. And it’s in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen  [2]
