Check-out Check-out done at evening campfire Medicals and advancement are given back out at evening campfire to one adult with the Pack. Time provided to pack up and clean campsite during the day

Families & Visitors Family night is Thursday Night. Invite families to spend the evening with their son at camp and hear about the highlights of his week Invite staff to your campsite for fellowship! For mail and driving directions, the camp address is: Camp Gorsuch 22700 Camp Gorsuch Road Chugiak, AK 99567 Address mail with the Scout’s name and Pack number to make sure it gets to the right person! We deliver mail at Flag Ceremonies in the morning.

Program Overview continued… Scouts can change merit badges Sunday night at the Merit Badge Open House/Late sign-up There will be late sign-ups Monday morning for any Monday morning arrivals Trainings available for adults Swimming & Water Rescue Paddlecraft Safety Safe Swim Defense Safety Afloat Basic Leave No Trace Principles Climb on Safely Outdoor Leadership Skills (OLS)

New this year: Shifted Meal Service! Due to dining hall overcrowding in 2016 There will be 2 meal shifts in 2017 This will help accommodate a full camp and reduce/eliminate need for outdoor seating under canopies. Outdoor and porch seating will still be available for those who desire. Shifts will be 45 minutes each. Flag Ceremonies will be after meals Breakfast 1 – 7:00AM Lunch 1 – 12:00PM Dinner 1 – 5:30PM Breakfast 2 – 7:45AM Lunch 2 – 12:45 PM Dinner 2 – 6:15PM

Check-in – Sunday Schedule Check-in, Sunday, 1:00-3:00PM 1. Your Troop will be met in the parking lot by the Staff. 2. We will then schedule a time for your unit to go to the Medical Rechecks and Swim Tests. 3. Your Troop host will then guide the Troop to its campsite to unload gear and change into swim trunks. 4. Leader goes to camp office to check-in and finish paperwork. 5. Medical Rechecks will take place at the waterfront 6. Waterfront for swim tests. 7. Return to the campsite for setting up and preparing for the evening meal. 8. Complete Camp Tour 5:00PM - SPL/Scoutmaster Meeting in the Dining Hall Late arrival check-in - Monday 6:00AM

Check-out 7:45AM – Flags 8:00AM - Breakfast 8:30AM - Site cleanup and departure inspection. The commissioner staff will be available for inspections for your site. Leaders check out at the (dining hall); medical forms and medications will be returned at this time. Prior to departure each Troop will be required to return all borrowed equipment to their commissioner. Documentation of any achievement earned during the week is available for pickup at the Dining Hall. Area directors will be at the Dining Hall to answer any questions about merit badges. This is the time to go through your merit badges and make sure that you have them all and they are correct. 10AM - Depart from camp
