Mentoring During Summer Bridge FYS Mentor Training Fall 2016

What is Summer Bridge? First Year Seminar (FYS) sections that begin 2 weeks prior to the start of Fall courses 8 day program that gives students a jumpstart for college

Summer Bridge Dates August 9-12 & August 15-18 9am-4pm each day

Who Participates? Incoming first year students FYS Instructional Team Instructor FYS Mentor Advisor Librarian MAC Mentors IPMP Mentors English Department And other campus partners!

Aspects of Summer Bridge Meet Your Mentor (Day 1, August 9) Classroom Curriculum/Activities Writing/Reading Sessions (2 sessions) Math Sessions (3 sessions) Closing Ceremony (Day 8, August 18) Will include a mentor performance (shhh!) – all are welcome to participate Practice: Saturday, July 23rd 1:45-2:45pm in CE 405
