School Partnership Indonesia – SEA Countries

Background Quality improvement could be made through school partnership. Indonesia and other ASEAN member countries have potential for school partnership. SEAMOLEC as one of SEAMEO centers has to serve all ASEAN countries to develop education sector, particularly in open and distance learning. SEAMOLEC has been developing an education network for ASEAN countries, called SEA EduNet. This network is very potential to support school partnership among ASEAN countries.

Objectives To build collaboration between schools in Indonesia and Southeast Asian schools to be described in an action plan; To improve quality of learning through collaborative study; To provide pathways for teachers to do research; To share knowledge, culture and values.

Activities Collaborative e-learning in particular subjects (Mathematics, English, Science, Mobile Game, culture, languages other than English, etc.) Teacher Exchange, based on further agreement Student exchange, based on further agreement. Joint training for teachers, school principals, and other education personnel.
