PAYMENT CAN BE MADE ONLINE BY ACCESSING THE TRANSCRIPT PAYMENTS LINK ON YOUR NAVIANCE FAMILY CONNECTION HOMEPAGE (Pick up your free unofficial copy in the CSHS guidance office today!)

The Convenience of Naviance! http://connection.naviance.com/carroll Through Naviance, your counselor can view your application status for each college and submit documents on your behalf, i.e. transcripts, school reports, recommendations. Even better…YOU can see what has been submitted on your behalf!

Reporting ACT and SAT Scores Colleges will NOT accept ACT or SAT Scores from your high school. You must submit your scores through your ACT or SAT account to send your scores to specific schools. Be aware, sending scores can take several weeks. Do not wait until the college application is due to request your scores be sent! www.actstudent.org www.collegeboard.org

Counselor Letter of Recommendation See your Counselor to discuss your recommendation. Return the Parent Information Form, Student Information Form and your resume to your counselor. No recommendation letter will be written without these documents. 3. Allow your counselor at least 3 Weeks to write your letter before it must be submitted online or mailed.

Teacher Letter of Recommendation Make sure to ask the teacher before selecting the teacher as a recommender through Naviance. If a teacher isn’t listed, contact your counselor. Be sensitive to a teacher’s hesitancy. Give the teacher 3 Weeks notice. Provide the teacher with your deadlines, resume, and if it must be mailed, provide an addressed, stamped envelope! (Use the school address as the return address.) Follow up with the teacher, and write a thank you note!

NCAA Clearinghouse Are you hoping to play Division I or Division II college athletics? If so, you are required to register with the NCAA Clearinghouse. Request to have your transcript sent if you have not already done so! Register Online: www.eligibilitycenter.org
