The Baptism’s of Jesus Jesus was baptized in water by John, Matt. 3 Jesus’ Disciples baptized, John 3, 4. Jesus Death, burial and resurrection were spoken of as being a “baptism,” Luke 12:50
The Baptism that Saves you. 1 Peter 3:21, “not the removal of dirt but an appeal for a clear conscience through the resurrection.” Spirit baptism: Spoken of by John the Baptist is uniquely attributed to Jesus in all the gospels.
The Baptism that Saves you. Peter recognized this in Acts 10, 11. Spirit baptism happens at the moment of belief in faith. 1 Cor. 12:31, Eph. 1:13. Faith, not water baptism, is essential for salvation. Hebrews 11:6, Romans 5.
The baptism that identifies you. Water baptism commanded by Jesus, Matt. 28:19. Performed after belief in obedience to Christ. Paul’s letters reference it. Rom. 6:4; 1 Cor. 12:13; Gal. 3:26, 27; Eph. 4:5; Col. 2:11, 12. Even Hebrews…10:22, “with our hearts sprinkled clean… and our bodies washed in pure water.”
Spiritual Life Principle Application: Only 1 application applies. If you have not followed through with believers baptism, isn’t about time?
