1. Current Activity of CJK NGN Major activity of CJK NGN Exchange of information from members: Technology, Services, Tests and Implementations etc. NGN Ad-hoc activity: Review contribution submitted to ITU-T and prior coordination before the meeting Test bed and evaluation: Build test bed and evaluation technical issues Develop White Paper: Collect CJK common views on NGN requirements Still exchange of information is a major part of the activity But collaboration in practical level is continuous growing, even still not active
1. Current Activity of CJK NGN Different levels of collaborations Continuously expanding collaboration in different levels Harmonization level: in terms of principles (CJK Plenary: White Paper) Practical level: Issues for the practical implementation (NGN-WG: Testbed) Meeting level: Issues on the contributions (NGN Ad-hoc: Contributions) CJK Plenary CJK Plenary Review proposals: principles Harmonization level: White Paper NGN-WG NGN-WG NGN-WG Review proposals: direction & issues Going to practical level: Testbed Review proposals: direction & issues Going to practical level: Testbed NGN Ad-hoc NGN Ad-hoc NGN Ad-hoc Review contributions Meeting level Collaboration Review contributions Meeting level Collaboration

2. Trend and requirements More involvements from the CJK CJK brought many of new subjects into the ITU-T NGN-GSI 01. 2008 SG13 meeting: 13 from 15 Contributions for new/modified Qs 09. 2007 NGN-GSI: 5 from 6 Contributions for new/modified Qs Issues are complex matrix
3. Further Collaborations Need strengthen each levels of collaborations Each level of collaboration is not yet enough mature Strengthen each level should be the best way to meet trend and req. But all activity should be based on NGN-WG activities Therefore need to strengthen NGN-WG activity Workshop CJK Plenary CJK Plenary Review proposals: principles Harmonization level: White Paper WG WS WG Long WS Identify the WS issues and Program WS WG Identify the WS issues and Program Input for developing contributions Improve collaboration issues NGN Ad-hoc NGN Ad-hoc NGN Ad-hoc Input for developing contributions Improve collaboration issues Remaining issues Further steps
4. Conclusion Strengthen collaborations NGN Workshop with NGN-WG Bearing in mind different level of collaborations which are going on now Need a way to encourage participation of technical experts for NGN-WG Will find keeping consistency of issues between WG and Ad-hoc NGN Workshop with NGN-WG Each NGN WG will hold Technical Workshop Workshop should introduce each members’ views, issues and plan Workshop should lead tangible results which should take consider for CJK members Each member should announce the results to the domestic colleagues to lead positive collaborations
