The 13th China International SME Fair 第十三屆中國國際中小企博覽會 10-13 Oct 2016 The Hong Kong Section

Background An event with over 4,000 SMEs from various provinces/cities of China and over 1000 SMEs from other countries The Hong Kong Section is the largest section apart from that of the Mainland and presents more than 400 booths. Apart from SMEs of Hong Kong, RID3450 is the very first NGO service organisation with representation in the Expo starting from the 12th fair (last year 2015)

Key objective Venue: Poly World Trade Centre Expo (保利世貿博覽館 D3450 will be allocated with two booths each of 3mx3m DG will be an officiating guest of the HK Section Good opportunity to promote Rotary core values and services to the business sector in both the Mainland and Hong Kong Also serves to enhance our connections with business and professional leaders in China and Hong Kong Key objective

Tentative Itinerary and Logistics DG delegation to participate in opening ceremony of the Expo on 10 Oct, Monday (a public holiday right after Chung Yeung); (ii) Take through train at around 7:20 a.m. from Kowloon. Arrive Guangzhou at around 9:30 a.m. Take coach and arrive at the venue at around 10:30 a.m. to attend the opening ceremony of the Hong Kong Section on time.

Tentative Itinerary and Logistics (cont’d) (iii) After opening ceremony, take coach and attend lunch hosted by HK Trade Development Council where we will meet over 300 Hong Kong participants from various businesses/professions (iv) Return to venue in the afternoon to have a discussion session hosted in VIP Room by D3450 for participants interested in Rotary (3:00-4:00 p.m.). This will be attended by participants from the Mainland especially Guangzhou.

Tentative Itinerary and Logistics (cont’d) (v) Leave venue by coach at 4:30 p.m. for Train Station (vi) Take through train back to Hong Kong/Kowloon (arriving HK at around 8 p.m.)

Registration How to Register: Circular will soon be issued to Presidents and Rotary Leaders to invite registration. Register with RIC using the specific form designed for this event. Book your own through train tickets (HK-Guangzhou return trip) for 10 Oct.

Costs For individual rotarian participants, only through train return ticket plus cost of coach transportation at Guangzhou. For D3450: booths: free rental; to pay for facilities including lighting, tables, chairs, TV set etc (ii)Backdrop: to pay for the production fee (iii) Leaflet: to print own promotion leaflets
