Small Button Template Finished button size (dotted line): 1.25 inch (1 1/4 inch) Outer circle size (cut line): 1.625 inch (1 5/8 inch) The dotted line in the circle above indicates the area will be seen on the top face of the finished button. The outer margin will be wrapped around the sides of the button. The solid outer ring is the line you will cut on. The circle above is a visual aid that you can also use to design your button, but you would want to remove the dotted line before printing. If you don’t remove the dotted line, it may appear on your prints. You may also design your button below in the circle without the dotted line. Remember that a portion of the design area will be wrapped around the sides of the button, so don’t put crucial design elements such as text or photos right up to the edge of the circle, or you will lose part of it when you make the button. When your design is finished, you will group the objects of your design together (see PPT Help instructions: Group Objects) to make them a single unit, then copy and paste as many buttons as you would like on the page. You may paste as many circles on this page (or a new PPT blank page) as will fit, but be sure to allow a .5 inch margin around the edge of the page for the printer. Students and visitors may print in TRAC using the campus Print/Copy station. There is a charge for printing—ask a TRAC employee for printing information if needed. TRAC recommends printing and making one button to see how your design works before printing a large group. There is no circle cutting machine for this size button. Small button circles must be cut out by hand with scissors or using a manual cutting device you may borrow from the TRAC front desk. Be sure to cut neatly on the line, or your buttons may not assemble well. The small button assembly set costs 15¢ each. Questions? Call TRAC at 470-578-6420. Cut Line
