ORBIT Circular Convenience

The four of us go to a large supermarket to get picnic supplies. All the goodies are packaged in non-recyclable plastic, I feel so guilty buying these, but there is no other convenient option! It’s sunny, let’s take the kids to the park! At the end of the day we get upset. Most of our waste can not go into the recycling bin. The rubbish is overflowing! We have a great time, but accumulate a large pile of un-recyclable plastic bits, such as packaging tear-offs. How can we be better role models to our kids and teach them not to create unnecessary plastic waste? CURRENT USER JOURNEY

MATERIAL Polylactic Acid (PLA) Polylactic Acid is biodegradable and allowed to mass produce as polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), or polystyrene (PS). PLA, which is not toxic in solid form and recyclable fits circular economical industries and sustainability. It is also the existing material and could be applied to the market directly. MATERIAL

ORBIT Circular Convenience

We’d heard about this new system called Orbit through our neighbours We’d heard about this new system called Orbit through our neighbours. Orbit lets you borrow your own basket and fill it with conveniently sized containers. We find them stacked all around the shop fill them with all our favourite goodies. We visit our local grocery store to get picnic supplies. It’s sunny, let’s take the kids to the park! We enjoy a guilt-free picnic and the kids absolutely love the exciting selection of food that Orbit has allowed us to transport to the park. The modular containers allow us to put together a varied selection. When we’ve chosen all our food, our cashier scans the barcode on our box and explains that if we return Orbit box within the next month, the service will be free of charge. NEW USER JOURNEY

When we are done, we simply find one of the Orbit drop-off bins in the park and leave both the basket and the containers. We happily notice that the rubbish bin is almost completely empty. Orbit was such a simple and convenient solution to a problem we have long been trying to overcome. We’ll defninitely be using it again! NEW USER JOURNEY
