Signs of the Times Bible Prophecy and the Luke 21 7 And they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? … and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass?

Luke 21 v25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;

29 And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees; 30 When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand. 31 So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.

32 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.

The Times of the Gentiles …the “seven times” punishment

“Seven Times” punishment for Israel … (Leviticus 26) v 18 And if ye will not yet for all this hearken unto me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins. v 21 And if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me; I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins. v 24 Then will I also walk contrary unto you, and will punish you yet seven times for your sins. v 28 Then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins.

A key to understanding this prophecy? Revelation 12 v6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days. (1260 days) v14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. (3 ½ times)

I will punish you seven times … (Leviticus 26 v 18) How long is a “time” in the Bible? … The woman fled into the wilderness for 1260 “days”, that is, three and a half “times”. (Revelation 12 v 6, 14) ÷ 3.5 = 360 days Usually in Bible Prophecy a day stands for a year, therefore … A time = 360 years

Other pointers to “a time” = 360 years … The mean of a solar year (≈ 365 days) and a lunar year ( ≈ 354 days) is 360 days. The Earth’s rotation ( that is, a duration or a “time”) is divided up into 360 degrees. Cycles of solar eclipses in astronomy; one following a period of 360 days and one following a period of 360 years.

7 x 360 years = 2520 years 604 + 1916 years = 2520 years When were the “Times of the Gentiles Fulfilled”? It was a “seven times” punishment. 7 x 360 years = 2520 years Jerusalem was first taken by the Babylonians in 604BC. 2520 years later will take us to 1917 when the Jerusalem was surrendered to the British without a shot being fired. 604 + 1916 years = 2520 years

This is the day the British walked into Jerusalem.
