Important Information: There WILL Not be a spelling test next week! VALENTINES!! Thank you for helping your child get their Valentines ready to pass out! The kids had a great time delivering them. In math we are learning how to compare numbers using place value and the =, > and < symbols. Thanks to Mrs. Chattin for coming in this week to discuss dental health! The students learned about the importance of taking care of their teeth. WINTER WEATHER- Children need to dress for the weather! There has been some concern about letting kids go out if they are not dressed appropriately. Students must have coats to wear outside in the cold. If not, they will miss outdoor recess. LEAP DAY! On the 27th the students will get to go to SECOND GRADE!! There they will meet the teachers and get a glimpse of what is in store for next year! Please remember to send in donations for our Night in Green class basket! A letter went home before Christmas explaining what to do. Our class basket theme is “Craft Beer”. Contact Mrs. Lomonico with any questions. The Jump Rope/Hoops for Heart Event at St. Pius X is February 22, 23, and 24th.  The event is held during your child's Physical Education Class. St. Pius X has been a huge help in raising money for research and education for Heart Health.  Last year we raised over $12,000!  Forms were sent home 2 weeks ago.  If you need another form, you can pick one up in the office.  You can send in donations in an envelope.  Please make sure you mark the envelope with child's name and classroom and that is for the American Heart Association.  XtraMath scores Name ________________________ _______/100 addition facts _____________/100 subtraction facts
