Braided T-shirt Rug *****

Each student brought in 3 L/XL t-shirts Each student brought in 3 L/XL t-shirts. The t-shirts had to be marked into 1 ½” strips.

After marking the strips, each strip was pinned with 3 pins After marking the strips, each strip was pinned with 3 pins. Then the strips were cut apart.

Once the strips were cut apart, then the braiding began.

Several students could braid at one time Several students could braid at one time. We connected the braids to cabinet pulls with safety pins & gem clips.

When all the strips were braided, students began fashioning their rugs.
