SUCCESS Greeting! Leave a positive impression Approach the person Make eye contact Shake the other person’s hand Say “Hello, my name is …..”

SUCCESS Results of Positive Greeting Gets you started on the right foot with new people Looks strong Shows people you know how to handle yourself in a positive manner

SUCCESS Be Attentive Communicate interest Make and Keep eye contact Lean slightly forward – or sit up straight Avoid Distractions Pay Attention to what is being said

SUCCESS Observing Determine feelings of others – teacher, parents, students Watch a person’s facial expressions and body movements Consider how that person feels Determine what action ( if any) is appropriate
