Presentation transcript:

Region Barbados. It is a beautiful Island where the comfortable maximum average temperature never gets too hot or too cold with it always staying between 75-90°F year round. This beautiful weather and temperature is cause by the lovely Northeast Trade winds which constantly cools the tropical paradise Island of Barbados. Barbados' government is what you call a Representative Democratic Government. The island is divided into 30 different constituencies and each has a representative that votes in the Prime Minister. Its long history of deep-rooted Christian principles providing Barbados with a sound education system is outstanding to say the least being free to its people producing a Literacy rate of 97%. Barbados isn't very big at all though if you think about it, within a day you could see pretty much the whole island with it being a decent 21 miles long and interesting 14 miles wide. With 3,000 hours of sunlight each year you'll be absolutely sure to get a nice relaxing sun tan on their all white sandy beaches. Barbados is a very safe and sound place being that it has never been successfully invaded by a foreign power. With that they aren't due to change anytime soon with the 3rd oldest parliament in the world you can be sure to plan your next vacation to the lovely Island country of Barbados. Movement Surrounded by the Atlantic ocean and beeches with white sand, Barbados imports more then it exports. Sweet sugar, honey, molasses, and rum come from here which are know as their main exports . It is easily accessible from anywhere and with nice warm moist temperatures that go up to 90 degrees anyone would gladly like to go there. It is surrounded entirely by the Atlantic ocean. Barbados has cause a huge imbalance because of the fact that it imports four times more than it exports. Barbados is know as a net importer meaning that the imported goods have a higher value than its exported goods over time. Many things are also imported to Barbados. Machinery, material for construction, fuel, and chemicals are given to Barbados in trade.

Human & Environment Interactions Place As you walk down the streets of Barbados not only will you see the beautiful Mount Hillaby (the highest point of Barbados) but also you will see the many locals selling tropical fruits, Cou-Cou (Barbados national fish), and many other types of fish and beautiful tropical plants. Walk along the soft white sand of Crane beach and swim in the calm turquoise waters. Or if your into windsurfing go over to Silver beach where it is internationally known for being a fantastic place for this sport. To many peoples surprise Barbados is not touched by the Caribbean sea at all! Because Barbados is the Eastern most Caribbean island it is completely surrounded by the Atlantic ocean! Many American tourists are surprised to find that Barbados is one of the few Caribbean islands that the main language spoken is English! No wonder Tiger Woods got married on this beautiful island! Location Human & Environment Interactions The government of Barbados tries to do their best to protect the beautiful environment like the coral reefs. The country also is having problems with overfishing to the point where the number of fish will soon become drastically low. Although Barbados is a beautiful place, there is also hazards for the residents like earthquakes, landslips, and hurricanes. In 2010, Hurricane Thomas hit Barbados, only causing minor damage, with the people of Barbados getting very lucky. The erosion of limestone rock in the northeast of the island has created numerous caves and gullies, becoming very popular tourist attractions for the country.
