GOALS: how we get motivated!

Recap: notes (write these down!) How do we get motivated? Set a goal Relate what you have to do to your goal How can you get motivated to do something you don’t want to do? Relate it to a future goal

What are the two types of motivation? Intrinsic Extrinsic

How do we stay motivated? Benchmark Goals: Short term achievable goals that relate to reaching your overall goals (look at these as stepping stones) Short Term Goals: Goals you want to accomplish over a shorter period of time, often days or weeks

Why is it important to get motivated? To feel successful Know the feeling of Achievement Feelings of Self-confidence

What should you do when you reach your goals? Reward yourself!
