Skill building Qwertytown Unit 4 Objectives/Goal:  Demonstrate how to use simple functions in formulas, use the Fill Right and Fill Down command. Functions are built-in formulas and they too must begin with an equal sign. The equal sign is followed by the function name. Learning Tasks:  Create 2 spreadsheets (10 Fundraiser, 11 Grades ) continuing to learn about formulas. Learn how to enter simple function formulas in a spreadsheet to calculate. Learn how to use the Sum, Average, Minimum and Maximum Function Formulas. Learn how to reduce the number of keystrokes to produce a formula by using a fill command—Fill Down and Fill Right Command. Assessment: Using a rubric--score each completed spreadsheet 11 (Grades) to check for understanding. Save to create an Excel portfolio. Assessment is #11. Check for understanding after #11—record answers in MS Word and print—take an online assessment to check for understanding. Technique Assessment   Standards: 1.5, 1.12, 1.13, W. 5.9, W.5.13. S.1.5
