Classroom Rules RESPECT our instructional time. Be in your seat, ready to work when the bell rings. Do not disrupt instruction. Cell phones must be turned off during class time. RESPECT our classroom & campus. Eating, drinking, & gum chewing is not permitted in class. Gum is not permitted at Rancho Pico at any time. RESPECT property. Writing on or damaging school property or the personal property of other students is unacceptable. RESPECT all people. Rudeness, bullying, profanity, obscene gestures and put-downs of any kind will not be tolerated.

I expect students in my class to be... HONEST Conduct yourself with academic integrity Communicate with me.. I am here to help! COMPASSIONATE We are one team and one family. Treat others with kindness. My room is an anti-bullying zone. RESPECTFUL No writing in textbooks, on desks, on each other! Please return my personal items if they are borrowed. I will not steam items out of your backpack! Be on time & always follow classroom rules and procedures Follow all Team Odyssey rules!

Ms. Pistone’s Availability All questions about your grade should be addressed in person outside of class time. I am available most days before school and by appointment after school. I usually have my phone and respond to emails very quickly ASB duties will take up most of my brunch/lunch. Please communicate and we can find time to chat.

Place their card at the bottom of the stack and write a narrative giving your version of the story on card #2. ROTATE. On card #3, draw a scene of the description the person before you wrote. ROTATE. Repeat this process until the stack of cards returns back to you with your summer memory on top! Rotate clockwise

What is history? History is what happened way back when. It is who made it happen. It is where we started. History is why something happened and what we have learned from it.

A Historian is someone who: Studies history. Questions the what, when, who, where, why, and how. Analyzes artifacts. And creates a story of the past.
