Two of the most popular 20th century designers are Marcel Breuer (1902-1981) Frank Lloyd Wright (1887-1959)

Characteristics of Marcel Breuer Style Influenced by the Bauhaus philosophy of “form follows function” (objects should be designed according to the function they have to perform) He is known for his contemporary design with clean lines Used tubular steel frames with canvas, cane, wood, or leather seats Most famous design was the Wassily Chair.
