Voice Of America’s Idioms Dictionary User Guide Manual

Step 1 Copy-paste the following link into your browser: http://www.voanews.com/learningenglish/theclassroom/interactive/?acturl=act_97095349# This is what you’ll see (you will need headphones or speakers for this activity)

Step 2 Scroll-down a little, find the “Idiom Dictionary”, and then click on “Open”

Step 3 This is the dictionary’s home page. Follow the instructions and click on the “Go” button at the bottom:

Step 3 You will see that a list of idioms with the letter “A” will appear and click on the first one

Step 4 This is what you’ll see. Then, click on the “Audio” button, listen to the definition, the usage, and the sample dialogue. After you finish, click on “Next”.

Step 5 Listen to all the idioms letter by letter, and when you finish with the one in letter “Z”, go back to home or just close the window.

Once you finish listening to all the idioms, go back the Assignment in Engrade to see the rest of the activity. Thank you  Mario B.
