We started in a small office in Edison, NJ, manufacturing and selling Municipal Construction Castings (manholes, frames, grates) and have grown into the second largest supplier of AWWA fittings and accessories in North America. We currently have 14 warehouse facilities strategically located to best serve our customers, with often same day delivery service. Over the years we have grown our product portfolio beyond municipal castings and ductile iron fittings to include a complete range of joint restraint products for both PVC and ductile iron pipe. Sigma is recognized as a national supplier of pipe restraints. We have added key accessory products that can be delivered to jobsites with fittings and restraints to better serve our customers, making it easier to get more products from a single source. And through the years, we have been able to establish a strong reputation for consistent, accurate customer service while delivering quality products to the Waterworks industry. 5 SIGMA Corporation's SIGMAFLANGE™ Model SFA adapter is designed to connect plain-end ductile iron or PVC pressure pipe to a flanged fitting, pipe, valve and other flanged appurtenances.   An oversized ductile iron mechanical joint by flanged sleeve provides proper sealing of the adjacent flange outlet using an O-ring gasket while accommodating necessary pipe end restraint to the mechanical outlet using SIGMA ONE-LOK™ wedge action restraining glands, either model SLDE for ductile iron or SLCE for PVC pipes. Features & Benefits Accommodates misalignment of pipe 6 The SIGMAFLANGE also accommodates some misalignment in the pipe to fitting connection by means of nominal allowable deflection in the mechanical joint connection of the product. The SIGMAFLANGE pressure rating is always the same as the pipe to which it is attached, while providing a minimum 2 to 1 safety factor.   Assembly of the SIGMAFLANGE requires no special tools. The standard tools used by contractors to assemble a mechanical joint or flanged joint are all that is required. SIGMAFLANGE is manufactured of high strength ductile iron in accordance with ASTM standards.
