PTOEC “Snowshoeing” Snowshoeing is quickly becoming a favorite for outdoor winter activity. Combining aerobic activity with ease of walking over snow without sinking in, snowshoeing is an activity for all ages. Snowshoe races are part of the Arctic Winter Games and the winter Special Olympics October 7, 2017 will be the first session of snow shoeing. It will be at 10:30 at Arnold Field in Belleville. Training sessions will be held on every Saturday until Special Olympics State Finals in February 2018. Come out and learn a new sport. For more information, contact Rich Crothers @ 618-406-2727

In 2011, 70 Special Olympics Programs hosted Snowshoeing competitions Since 2005, when there were 11,676 Special Olympics Snowshoe Athletes, the sport has grown by over 110%!
