How Do I Identify the Elements of a Narrative Passage or Essay? from “Mrs. Majeska and Sara Duck” by Ethel Pochocki 1 There once was an old woman who lived on the edge of a city and the edge of a woods. Her house sat right smack in the middle of where one ended and the other began. Mrs. Majeska, for that was her name, was quite content with this, for either way she turned, she had the best of both worlds.

WRITING EXPECTATIONS

Paper format TYPED DOUBLE-SPACED FONT TIMES NEW ROMAN SIZE 12 TITLE of your essay centered at the top (after the heading) – NOT the title of the article!!

PAPER FORMAT HEADING- TOP LEFT CORNER- **Must have: Name, Teacher, Class,Date **Heading must be double-spaced AND in the same font and size as the rest of the paper **USE MLA Format in Google Docs as shown in class. This makes it EASY!

Printing ALL drafts and/or final essays must be printed before you come to class If you have a technology emergency and need me to print your essay off, you MUST submit to me before 7:00 A.M. on the due date. If I don’t receive your essay by 7:00, I will not print it off. You will be issued an HC if you don’t have the paper with you at the beginning of class.
