WHAT’S HAPPENING AT DONNELL! CHRISTINE DONNELL SCHOOL OF THE ARTS Star Studded News APRIL 2017 Edition Absence Hotline 208-855-4355   Call by 9AM Notes from Mrs. Leipf Dear Donnell Families, As we near the end of the 2016-17 school year, I want to thank all of you who have contributed to the learning experiences of our CDSA students. Teachers, parents, and students have all come together to turn challenges into success. Parents, your partnership with us all through this school year is so appreciated, whether you have volunteered in the classroom, helped prepare materials, or chaperoned field trips. Another way that have you shown your support is through the West Ada Education Foundation. Your donations through the Foundation have funded art supplies, field trips, guests in the classroom, alternative seating, new books, and more. We have much more learning and celebrating to pack into the few remaining weeks. Stay tuned to classroom news for information about spring performances and Arts Fair. I look forward to seeing you at one or more of our many events! Sincerely, Joni Leipf Donnell Tidbits Please remember to call in any absence before 9AM! If your child is dropped off after 9:10AM, you MUST escort them into the building and sign them in at the office! A reminder that students will not be called out of class for appointments until you arrive to school. This allows your child to receive the most amount of instruction time as possible. Teachers available before school by appointment only. This is their planning time. Notes, treats, homework, etc. can be left in the office to be delivered to the classroom. ISAT Testing window began Monday, April 3rd and closes Friday, May 19th. Please make sure that your student comes to school well rested and having eaten a good breakfast. YEARBOOKS are still on sale for $18.00. Fill out the attached order form along with your payment and return them to the office to reserve your copy today! Please call the office no later that 3:00 PM to report a change in the way your child will get home from school that day. If your child knows of the change when they arrive at school, please do not call just to remind them. Book Fair hours: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8:00-4:30. WHAT’S HAPPENING AT DONNELL!
