Sifted Flour Many recipes allow you to remove TWO tablespoons of Flour instead of sifting. To sift flour Sift first, then meaure.

Powdered Sugar To get lumps out of Powdered Sugar SIFT IT

Measuring Shortening by Liquid Displacement
