Preparation Thoroughly wash a 400ml/600ml beaker.
Applying Fingerprint Press fingers (4) against the non-painted portion of the beaker.
Dusting Print Apply magnetic fingerprint dust using the applicator Drop the handle into the rubber tip Dip into the fingerprint dust Glide gently over the print area
Lifting the Print Pull tape from roll and turn under both ends. Handle tape from those ends Apply tape to the dusted print Avoid air bubbles Press Firmly Peel tape and place onto backing sheet paper Write Name, Date, Period, and source of the print on the back where indicated.
Reading the Print Identify the class or print (arch, loop, whorl, etc.) of each of the 4 prints Ridge count (approximate if necessary), (indicate which are partials)
Fingerprint Minutiae Also known as characteristics, minutiae are very small pattern features used to match fingerprints. The Goal is 12 matches per print
