Senior Project Introduction FOR VISUAL MEDIA ASSIGNMENT

For your project you will… Part 1 DUE February 10th : Find the following items: 75 photos of yourself (past to present) 1 video of yourself 3 songs Upload the above items to Dropbox Part 2 DUE March 3rd : Create a “Media Library” Combine the above items into MovieMaker, iMovie, or a film software of your choice This will serve as your rough draft Part 3 DUE April 9th : Create a Script that will help you narrate the overall video Part 4 DUE May 5th : Turn in your FINAL version of your senior project Pictures, video and songs surround an obvious theme related to your life

Heads Up Your Sr. Project will have a THEME! You might want to start thinking about this Some of your final music selections will reflect this theme

Dropbox: Before you start… Create a new Dropbox account for this assignment Remember your username and password! Create a main folder titled “Senior Project”

Part 1: Find: Upload the above items to Dropbox 75 photos of yourself (past to present) 1 video of yourself 3 songs Upload the above items to Dropbox

Collect 75 appropriate images Save them in a new folder on your Dropbox titled “Your Last Name 75 Pictures” Brainstorm: What could these images include? Baby / childhood Boyfriend / girlfriend Pets Prom Friends

Image Rules: NO SELFIES NO BATHROOM PICS NO ALCOHOL/DRUG RELATED IMAGES

You need a variety of images that represent YOU in the best possible way No repeat photos Keep the audience engaged

3 Songs Collect a minimum of 3 songs that you would like to include in your Senior Project Save these songs in a new folder of your Dropbox titled “Your Last Name 3 Songs”

Song Rules Lyrics must NOT contain any vulgar language (teacher discretion - be safe rather than sorry!) No BLEEPS You may not use an ENTIRE song in your senior project (copyright laws) - keep this in mind

Video Clip You must include at least 1 video clip between 10 seconds-45 seconds in length Save this clip in a new folder of your Dropbox titled “Your Last Name 1 Video Clip”

Part 2: Create a “Media Library”

Decide on what movie software you will use (MovieMaker, iMovie, etc.) Media Library Decide on what movie software you will use (MovieMaker, iMovie, etc.) Combine your pictures, songs and videos that software Submit to your Dropbox titled “First Name Last Name Media Library”

Media Library requirements All 75+ pictures, 3 songs and video clip must be included You can go back later (before the final due date) to re-arrange these items Use the information on the class website if you are having problems with technology

Part 3: Write a script that you will use to narrate your project More details to follow

Part 4: Submit your final project! Upload to dropbox Share this Dropbox file with your teacher
