How do French kids become athletes? Start as a kid in regular clubs and get noticed then combine school and sport. There is no sport program in college. Sport (EPS) is mandatary (2hrs/week) and taught in school from elementary school to end of high school. Then some colleges mandate it some don’t. all kind of sports are taught: basketball, soccer, running, swimming, gymnastics etc…
