Presentation transcript:

Growing the Staff Team When forming our “Growing the Team” strategy, the main focal point was: “As SU Scotland staff, what is the best thing we can do for the children and young people of Scotland?” Nothing is more important than us being more like Jesus; knowing Him better, making decisions that put his Kingdom first, living a compassionate lifestyle which calls people to a change of heart and mind? A major part of this strategy is to grow a culture of learning and service with our staff, where gifts are developed and fully used. We need our supporters to back us in prayer and mentor us. Could you support us as we aim to ‘Grow the Staff Team’?

SU Holidays Bursaries We don’t want any young person to miss out on one of our holidays due to the cost. Thanks to generous donations to our Holidays Sponsorship Fund, we are unable to grant bursaries to help the cost of a holiday, but the fund is limited and this means we need to ensure that grants are given to those who need it most. Simply go to suholidays.org.uk/bursaries or call the SU Holidays team on 0141 352 7620 to apply for a bursary. Do you know a young person in your church or local area who could benefit from a bursary to get them to an SU Holiday? Alternatively, maybe your church could help to send that young person to camp this summer?

Share your SU Story Scripture Union is turning 150 this year! We want you to know that no matter where you live or your level of involvement with us, you are a vital and valued member of the SU family! To reminisce about the past and to encourage each other for the next 150 years of SU ministry, we want to hear your SU stories – do you remember going to camp at Scoughall when you were young? Or maybe you came to faith through an SU group in your school? We want to hear all your stories – sometimes there’s nothing more powerful or encouraging than a testimony! Add your story at stories.suscotland.org.uk or post a hand-written copy to our Glasgow office! You can get a Stories postcard by emailing Gail.McLay@suscotland.org.uk and it will be sent to you.
