Lorry Loader and Small Hydraulic Cranes Operator Skills

Things to look out for during Pre–use checks

Machine Specifications Stabilisers-outriggers must be fully extended and locked in position Length, width, and weight of the boat affect the stability of the MHOC. The boat must never exceed the 70 heeling angle (boat cranes) Check the machines load plate for details of range

The Lifting Plan An inspection of the load and landing area The overall weight of the load including any effect of rain, ice and snow Size, types and shape of the load Possible fragmentation of the load The centre of gravity The need for a tag line The vulnerability of the load, is it fragile? What type of lifting accessory should be used?

Signals (BS7121)

This is what happens when you do not set up correctly!
