Understanding the Power of His Resurrection (Philippians 3:8-11)
The Resurrection Means that… Jesus is God’s Son (Romans 1:1-4; Acts 13:30-33; 2:24) There is hope of eternal life. The empty tomb is proof! (Matthew 28:6; John 20:6-8; Acts 2:29-31; 41)
The Resurrection Means that… Jesus is God’s Son (Romans 1:1-4; Acts 13:30-33; 2:24) There is hope of eternal life. The empty tomb is proof! (Matthew 28:6; John 20:6-8; Acts 2:29-31; 41) Because Jesus was raised, we know that we will be raised (John 11:25; 1 Corinthians 15:12-20; 6:14; 1 Peter 1:3-4; 2 Corinthians 4:14)
The Resurrection Means that… I can have a new life in Christ! I do not have to live in sin. (Acts 3:26; Romans 4:24-25). Baptism is empowered (Romans 6:3-4; 1 Peter 3:20-22; Colossians 2:12) I’m compelled to live a new life on a higher plane (Colossians 3:1-2; Ephesians 2:4-6; 2 Corinthians 5:17)
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. -- 2 Corinthians 5:17
