Proposal for Ecclesall Junior School In order to be able to transfer all pupils (Y3-Y5) from EJS to the expanded EIS Primary School in September EJS will need to be formally closed Governors at EJS are therefore consulting on the proposal to close Ecclesall Junior School in the Summer of 2018

Proposal for Clifford Infant School Governors at Clifford Infant School are consulting on expanding the age range to 3-11 to create a voluntary aided Church of England primary school across the present Clifford Infant and Ecclesall Junior sites

What are the challenges so far? Transition from EJS to the new community primary school Access to church based ethos for Ecclesall Junior School pupils that transfer to the community primary school A growing junior phase for Clifford LA commitments for the EJS site

Timeline for consultation Six week school consultation to run from 12/06/2017 to 21/07/2017. Governors at each school to make formal recommendation to local authority. Formal consultation in September 2017. Councils cabinet will be the decision maker on these proposals.
