How to seek the Pleasure of Allah You must know your Purpose in Life

Our purpose in life is to worship Allah alone and to hold on to the rope of Islam and not allow other to divide us. "And hold fast, all of you together, to the Rope of Allah (this Qur'an) and be not divided among yourselves." [(3), Ayah 103.] Al-Qurtubee said, "Allah ( SWT ) has made it obligatory for them (the Muslims) to hold unto His Book and refer to it whenever disagreement arises between them. He also commanded us to hold fast to the Qur'an and the Sunnah in both conviction and action, for this would be the cause for unity, harmony and benefit to the life in this world and the religion, in addition to the avoidance of discord."

Following the example of the prophet and his companions We have to work together to uphold the good and stand against what is bad The only way this can be done is by sticking to the Quran and the sunnah Following the example of the prophet and his companions Learning from the true people of knowledge Obeying our leaders

Doing the above strengthens us and gives us the ability to handle the challenges of life We immediately turn to our belief system and ponder how everything is just a test of that We then patiently endure the challenge with certainty of faith knowing that Islam means total submission to Allah and his decree whatever it may be We then trust that Allah will get us through whatever the challenge may be because he doesn’t lay a burden on us that is too great to bear so we remain sincere in our belief in him and stick to the way the prophet taught us to handle ourselves, without panic, without complaint

We then reflect how this world is nothing but temporary and how our ultimate goal is paradise So we draw from the knowledge we have gained and rely on the fact that just when we think we can take no more Allah will bring help to us from this challenge We then ponder how the hereafter holds so much more for us – no pain, no sorrow, no suffering And we then count the numerous other times Allah has come through for us and brought us out from our hardships

We beg to be of those who will see his lovely face... It is that loyalty and devotion to Allah, his prophet and the believers that spurs us on to continue the plight towards paradise So again we submit ourselves to Allah and declare our desire to be with him by loving what he loves - which is sacrifice for him; and by hating what he hates - which is rebellion against him or his decree We beg to be of those who will see his lovely face... Thus earning his pleasure!
