How it will make a difference? * The opportunity to travel and immerse yourself in different cultures and countries * Universities like students to at least have a language at GCSE level * 75% of the world’s population does not speak English * 60% of British trade is with non-English speaking countries * British business loses £millions every year because they can’t speak their customers’ language (buy in your native tongue and sell in the customers’ tongue) A linguist with English as their mother tongue plus another language is extremely valuable!

Having at least one foreign language keeps you one step ahead……… My boss wanted to send someone to Valencia to learn a new language. He said it’d help the company attract more business from abroad.
