Presentation transcript:

Electric Motor A generator with an EMF of 120 V and an internal resistance of 5.00 W delivers a current of 3.00 A to a motor whose internal resistance is 2.00 W. What is the back E.M.F. of the motor? What is the mechanical power delivered by the motor? What is the efficiency of the motor? What is the over-all efficiency of the system?

Earth’s Magnetic Field What will happen to positive particles coming from the left, at the equator, as they encounter the earth (spinning towards the east)? How will negative particles, at the equator behave? How will the behavior of positive particles at the poles be different?

Lenz’s Law Explain the opposing magnetic field created in the tube as a north pole descends down the tube. Return to day 14
