Advantages Runaway Slaves from the south fought for the North They manufactured goods rapidly and had an ample supply of things such as shoes and clothing Runaway Slaves from the south fought for the North

Advantages Cont. The North had a higher population than the south that led to them having a bigger army

Disadvantages South had better trained officers and soldiers Unfamiliar territory in the south

Disadvantages Cont. The north were used to living a higher class city life and weren’t used to roughing it like the southerners were and didn’t know how to survive off the land.
