Systems Leadership To change organisations and systems will require leaders to get experience in linking to other parts of the system. These leaders in turn must help develop other leaders with similar characteristics. -Michael Fullan

Systems Leadership David Hopkins in his 2009 paper “The Emergence of System Leadership” offers this model. - Does it look familiar? http://www.swamwac.org/eveconf/documents/seminar1/The%20Emergence%20of%20System%20Leadership%20-%20David%20Hopkins.pdf

Exploring Issues Start by identifying an issue that is a priority for you to address. Triangulate evidence School Data Community Data Anecdotal Data

If’s – And’s – But’s – Maybe’s Exploring Issues If we were to…. And we were to involve But we were aware that.. Maybe we could….. Identifying Partners Once an intervention point has been identified you need to identify potential partners and make contact with them. If’s – And’s – But’s – Maybe’s

Review Intervention Points What is your intervention point? Is there more than one possible intervention point? Did you reject any intervention points? Identifying Partners Are there any potential partners that come to mind? Statutory? Community? Voluntary? Where can you find out more? – Community Directory
