9th Grade Parts of a Sentence
Simple Subjects Subject – Who or what is doing/did something in the sentence. Simple Subject – The main noun or pronoun that tells what the sentence is about. The young boy found a new toy. The monitor was removed from Ender’s neck.
Simple Predicate Predicate – What is happening in the sentence – Tells something about the subject. Simple Predicate –Main verb or verb phrase that tells about the subject. The young boy found a new toy. The monitor was removed from Ender’s neck.
Complete Subject Complete Subject - simple subject and all the words that modify it. The young boy found a new toy. The monitor was removed from Ender’s neck.
