What is it like? Bowles is a unique venue where young people can be inspired.  They will be challenged yet safe, and cared for whilst having the independence.

Croft Farm May 8th – 12th 2017 Information Evening

Croft Farm JCA

Departure & Return. All children should be at school for 8:30am. Leaving CHJ at approximately 9.00am on Monday 8th May. Journey will take around 3 hours Excluding a stop at Oxford Services on the M40. Packed lunch required on the first day. We will be leaving the centre at around 12.30pm on Friday 12th, hopefully returning to school at 4.30/5.00pm. (Traffic dependent)

What to pack? Key Points: Sleeping Bag and Pillow. Disposable camera only. No phones, tablets or electronic devices of any kind. Pack a pair of old shoes that you are happy to get wet. Small Torch. Make sure all items are named and clearly labelled.

Mr Hughes available to all staff and groups throughout the week. Mr Hughes (Party Leader) Miss Sherlock Mr Charlton Mr Arman Miss McRae Mrs Lucioni Mrs Englefield Miss Wallace Miss Landes Miss Larkin Miss Kennedy (First Aid Lead) 9 Activity Groups Mr Hughes available to all staff and groups throughout the week.

Activity Timetable Water Activities: Raft Building Sailing Wind Surfing Kayaking Children will spend 3 hours a day on the lake, on average. All activities will have an instructor child ratio of 1:12. There will also be a member of CHJ staff with each group. During water sports – the ratio is no more than 1:8.

The head chef is lovely and very accommodating! Food The head chef is lovely and very accommodating!

Facilities & Rooms Rooms will in groups of 4 – All children are given the opportunity to choose 3 friends to room with, we will guarantee one.

Money & Sweets There is a tuck shop available and we recommend a maximum of £5.00 for the week. Please resist the temptation to provide your children with huge amounts of sweets for the week! They will be excited enough on the first night. 

Medical All medical information has already been collected. Each group leader will be aware of particular requirements. If your child has any medication, this must be handed directly to Miss Kennedy in a named bag with clear instructions for use on the morning. All medicines will be administered by Miss Kennedy as appropriate during the week.
